Midnight basketball in Shelby Township is now the coolest thing in the county

This is sample copy written to demonstrate how a Macomb Thread story reads. It will be replaced by original reporting.

Macomb County moves faster than most people give it credit for. In a single quarter, a township can approve a road project, redraw a school boundary and quietly raise a millage — all before the next meeting minutes are posted online.

Residents who show up say the difference is in the details: which line items get moved, who asks the question, and whether the answer ever makes it into the record.

Macomb Thread will keep following this. If you have documents, meeting notes or a story worth a second look, send it our way.
